The concept for the installation was developed and designed by Coolab, with technical lighting and magic from Toronto’s Wondermakr studio.

“This was a passion project for us in the truest sense,” said Coolab principal Clayton Budd. “We were keen to find an exciting new creative opportunity where we could work with someone we truly admired, on something that would spread a little joy and inspiration in our community – something we can all use a dose of right now. As huge fans of Oliver Jeffers, we are beyond proud to collaborate with the team at HarperCollinsCanada on his latest release. And being able to execute our vision in our own neighbourhood while also supporting a fellow Leslieville small business, has just made this installation all the more rewarding.”

Shamin Alli, Sales Director of Children’s at HarperCollinsCanada said of the installation, “we are very excited to see What We’ll Build come to life in this way and in support of an independent retailer here in the city. Oliver’s work has always been something that brings families and people together and when Coolab expressed their vision for this project, we were thrilled to help facilitate.”
