Valerio Vidali is an Italian illustrator based in Berlin and creator of <i>The King's Ship</i>. His picture books have been translated into a dozen languages and received several international awards. <i>Jemmy Button</i> and <i>The Forest</i> were both named <i>New York Times</i> Best Illustrated Books.
