BERNIE SAUNDERS played in the NHL for two seasons as a right winger with the Quebec Nordiques. He was only the fifth Black player in the NHL. Saunders quit hockey in his twenties to pursue a successful career in pharmaceuticals. A dual citizen of Canada and the US, he lives in South Carolina.
