Elizabeth Ashtree Books & Biography
Elizabeth Ashtree's first novel, AN OFFICER AND A HERO, was a double 2000 RITA finalist for best long contemporary and best first novel. This Harlequin Superromance won a Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award. Her latest novel, THE COLONEL AND THE KID, will be released in January 2002. Romantic Times reviewed AN OFFICER AND A HERO and called Ms. Ashtree "a gifted new author." She added, "Ms. Ashtree makes an impressive debut contrasting the powerful pull of love against the rigid discipline of the military. Strong, well-defined characters, sharp dialogue and current plot line make this edition of the IN UNIFORM series a guaranteed page turner." Ms. Ashtree's article for Romance Writers of America's, Writer's Report, on the subject of plagiarism was well received. In writing A HARD WORD, Ms. Ashtree drew upon her legal knowledge developed over seventeen years as an attorney for the Federal Government. Ms. Ashtree holds a B.A. in Anthropology and a J.D. from the College of William and Mary. She served as an officer in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps and is currently an attorney for the Department of Defense.
